BSJC Head To Belgium

It may be early in 2025, but we're already kicking off this year in style at Bradley Stoke Judo Club.
We had a large team of 17 judokas, ranging in age from 10 to 22, 3 Bradley Stoke Coaches, and a team of parents and guardians who journeyed to Koksijde, Belgium, from January 2nd to the 6th to join a fantastic training camp with 500+ Judokas from 6+ nations all across Europe!
Our BSJC Judokas thrived and participated brilliantly in four randori (free practice sparring) sessions over the weekend. These sessions allowed our Judokas to experience international Judo at a high level.
For many, it was their first experience of travelling and experiencing a new side to the sport and with the club. Of course, it was not just Judo; the team filled the free time with fun-filled activities, including a trip to the waterpark!
Head Coach Nick Brace described the weekend as a "Fantastic way to kick off the new year with our trademark combination of fun and hard work. It was great to see the improvement in the players who had been before and welcome some new members to their first taste of international Judo. These types of opportunities are what separates Judo from other sports and BSJC from other clubs. Plenty more to come this year."
